| KantDesign has undertaken more and more commercial kerbing work over the past year. We believe, and now know, that the potential income from commercial kerbing over residential is a bonus on two fronts: 1). With commercial kerbing you can install a higher value of kerbs in the same time! And 2). Commercial kerbing is ALL YEAR ROUND, unlike the perceived 'Summer season' of the residential market. We have laid commercial kerbing in both Denmark and Sweden in various types, to specific requirements of our customers. Our commercial customers are very pleased with our unique kerbing system. Why?...
The advantage of our product over conventional kerbs is that you do not have all that heaving lifting, you make the concrete yourself. You can do any Kerb-mould (shape) that your customer wants, make any turn, last minute changes, whatever!
Satisfied customers of our commercial Kerbing vary from location to location.... A few to mention:
| ... The pictures above and below show us laying kerbs 28cm x 15 cm. Totalling 336 meters in lengh! Any angle, turns or basic straight lines are possible with our ScandiCurb machine, size 30x15kerbs. The project design was commissioned by Johansson Landscapes |
Right side picture shows the day we finished the project, and left picture shows the same place two months later. Pictures taken are of a kindergarden in Sweden. A joint project with Karlskrona kommun and Landscape architects Kragh & Berglund
| In this parking lot we made 10x15 Kerbs with two steel wires. The kerbs are laid on top of 30 cm compressed sand and stone base: this type of curbing process is very quick and easy to do. We completed this project at a 1/3 of the cost that the customer had budgeted for. Our price: 22 euro per meter! | |
| When we lay kerbs directly on asphalt we nail the kerbs to the asphalt spikes. On top of that we always use steel wires in the kerbs. | |
Often customers ask "Are our kerbs strong enough for a car"My answer is always " YES - kerbs like ours have been made since the 1960's all around the world"These two pictures are from a housing estate. The kerbs in the first picture were made with 'wire and spikes' on the asphalt. The second picture shows the kerbs with wire, but no spikes. As you can see the car tires have hit the kerb, and made 'black marks' putting a lot of stress on to the kerb - but the kerb still remains in position, and not moved a single mm.
Another question we are often asked "what will happen if the kerb breaks"
On this new church project we 'circled' 10 trees and laid a 30 meter long bed. Our kerbing system will save time and money on the future maintenance of the church gardens - year after year. The church is Skelgårdskirken, Amager in Denmark | We are doing more and more jobs on housing estates, for building contractors etc. This job in Copenhagen we laid the curbing and put down pebble stones adding extra value and of course income. |
Landscape architects Kragh & Berglund got the idea that we could make a concrete 'sitting stone kerb'. They produced the drawing - We produced the answer! We just turned on our ScandiCurb machine and made a 15 x 15 kerb on the artificial hill. | This water gully was made in a local schoolyard this summer. Water from the pavement will drain into the gully / gutter and form a small river. Another great idea from Kragh & Berglund |
This is a playground located in the city centre of Copenhagen. we have made the sandpit with our biggest kerb 30x33 cm (hxw) This kerb will be perfect for the parents to sit on while children are playing. On this playground we have also made 25x15 - 15x15 - and 10x15kerbs. This playgournd was designed by Opland Landscapearchitect | Please take time to look at our gallery of both residential and commercial kerbing. You can also ask for a DVD with many more pictures of our work. This picture is from a new kinder garden we did jointly with Karlskrona Kommun in Sweden and Kragh & Berglund. The little boy is Kim's son, the owner of Scandicurb - The most successful Kerbing company in Denmark By the way, Kristoffer (3 years old) loves kerbing too! |
This playground in Copenhagen, we 'kerbed' the rear area with a 20cm x 20cm Kerb to hold back the dirt from a slope This playground project was designed by PETER HOLST ARKITEKTUR & LANDSKAB | Investment in machinery is vital for us to stay ahead of the game. It also allows us to take on board more and more commercial jobs. New, modern, adaptable plant helps us to complete the jobs on time - every time! |
| This is the largest kerb we have made to date! 30 cm high x 33 cm wide. Here laid beside our 10x10Kerb - Same ScandiCurb machine has made both kerbs | This is a very unusual project! we 'kerbed' a playground last year for a school in Gentofte, Denmark
|
| | |
| On this school we first kerbed the water gully, a few days later we kerb the large 30x33 cm all in the colour Siena | |
